Terms & Conditions

• Reservations can be made online, by phone, or by text. Airport rides are confirmed once you complete online payment, deposit, or authorize a card on file.
• Deposits — a 20% deposit (adjustable) may be required to secure certain quoted rides. The remainder is due before or at the end of the ride.
• Payment methods — credit/debit card via Square, cash to driver, or Zelle (subject to availability). Card details are handled directly by Square; we do not store full card numbers.
• Card on file — if you choose “Pay in person,” we save a payment method with Square to cover the ride, no-show, or late-cancel fees per this policy.

• Free cancellation — any change or cancellation made at least 24 hours before pickup is free.
• Late cancellation — cancellations within 24 hours of pickup are subject to a 50% late-cancel fee (charged to card on file if available; otherwise billed).
• No-show fee (outbound leg) — 25% of the fare if the customer is a no-show on the outbound leg.
• No-show fee (return / airport-pickup leg) — 100% of the return-leg fare, because we drive to the airport empty.
• Self-serve changes — you can edit your own pickup time, address, or notes up to 24 hours before pickup using the personal link we email/text you at booking.
• Amounts shown above are current defaults and can be adjusted case-by-case at our discretion.

• Airport rides are quoted at a flat rate per pickup town / destination airport (one-way or round trip). Quotes are shown before booking.
• Local / mountain rides are calculated with an Uber-style formula: base fare + tiered per-mile + per-minute, with a minimum fare floor. A road-difficulty adjustment (up to +30%) may apply for slow mountain or remote / gravel routes.
• Late-night rides (roughly 10pm–5am) may include a small late-night fee.
• Tolls, parking, and unusual wait time may be added to the fare.
• Distance and duration estimates come from Mapbox and are approximations — the actual charge is based on the delivered ride.

• Be ready at the confirmed pickup location at the confirmed time.
• Provide accurate flight or terminal information for airport pickups.
• No smoking, vaping, or open alcohol containers in the vehicle.
• Buckle up. Children require appropriate car seats (available on request).
• Treat drivers with respect. We reserve the right to refuse or end service for abusive, threatening, intoxicated-and-unmanageable, or unsafe behavior.
• Excessive vehicle soiling (bodily fluids, spills) may result in a cleaning fee.

By checking the optional SMS consent checkbox, you agree to receive recurring informational text messages from Northern Star Taxi regarding your transportation request, quote, booking, ride reminders, driver arrival updates, and customer support.
